Item Collections

The SuiteCommerce Item Collections extension mimics the behavior of matrix items in NetSuite, while allowing for greater customizability. This solution is best for companies that already worked with a large catalog of non-matrix items in NetSuite prior to implementing SuiteCommerce.

This solution allows customers to select the child item from the product listing page (PLP), and the customer is then redirected to the parent page with the child preselected. On the product detail page (PDP), item images will correspond to sizes and other details as selected on the page. The customer is able to select different item options as desired, and this customization will switch the PDP to the associated child item and image.

Within the website structure, the parent item is sorted into commerce categories and child items would not be. This promotes a cleaner category PLP layout where only the parent item of a collection would surface, but still allows child items to surface in search results.
